Props
Friday, March 22, 2013Bobby took me to an antique store this morning. One of our only outings as a family over this spring break. Luckily they had a cart for Abby since she is still wobbly of her legs and it would have been killer to carry her the whole time and Anabel listened like a charm, staying by me and not trying to pick up stuff (to much). Anabel loved looking at all the stuff. We might make her an antique shopper after all! :)
But Bobby let me pick out a few things for my studio as props. There was so many cool things i saw i could use…. i see myself going back there for more next pay day LOL
But we got this wire basket and this little mini hamper. It’s suppose to look old and used so it works just for what i wanted. I like the hamper because i can open it up, pile up stuff in the bottom and set Matthew in it with his little head and arms propped up above the top, kinda like this little guy:
Or i could set him top something like this maybe:
Also the cloths basket is the right size that i could use it for the girls too, for them to sit on, or just something to have in the background of a shot or something.
With the wire basket:
Oh and i found ideas for my drawer:
At the antique store they also has a bunch of steel tubs. Big ones $15 and small ones $10 and we both loved them for props too and then today i saw these pictures on pinterest using the same type of tubs:
Isn’t that adorable?
Oh and look:
The flooring i have for my studio LOL (I just haven’t gotten it out yet.) There is actually a lot of pictures on pinterest of newborn photographers using the same two faux wood floors that i have.
Now i just need a lot of fuzzy / faux fur remnants or blankets… not finding those yet. Need to keep my eye out on the thrift stores!
