Tired

Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Got one loaf of bread made and another in the bread machine. I also have a double batch of bagels in rising.
While waiting on the breads i got a load of laundry in and part of the house picked up. I also have the bathroom all wiped down but i have to go back and sweep and mop before it's finished.

Bagels will be done rising in about 15min. and then i have to do all the rest of the steps which is time consuming. Guess no nap for me today in less Bob lets me take one when he gets home before youth group. Won't cross my fingers on that one because he will probably have to write up what we will be talking about tonight. Oh well i'll be ok... i just feel soooooo tired!

Easy

Last night i came into the kitchen about 4:30pm-ish. I was being a slacker. I knew i had thawed meat in the frig that i needed to prep and get into meals (It was meant for freezer crock pot meals) and i had a MOPs meeting at 6pm and neither of the girls or me were dressed and ready either.

So i started in! I ended up putting together 3 freezer crock pot meals in about an hour! And most of the stuff cleaned up (by that i mean things put in the freezer and frig and dirty dishes in the sink and counters wiped)
I was so proud of myself!

This is what i put together:

  • Beef Stew
  • Loaded Baked Potato Soup
  • Meatloaf with Rosemary Potatoes
Recipes listed HERE

Then because i had put together a few days worth of outfits for the girls all i had to do was go in there and grab a hanger off the 'outfits' area of their closet. So i was able to get ready in record time for me doing it all by myself and no Hubby there to help. Plus i managed to get to MOPs only a few minutes past 6pm and i wasn't the latest one there so that made me feel better.

I felt very productive that night!

Now this morning i just grabbed out a prepared meal bag, popped it in the crock pot and dumped in the appropriate liquids it calls for and BOOM done.... well all sept i have to put in a loaf of bread ingredients in the bread machine but it's a UBER simple recipe so no big deal. I will be bringing this to youth group tonight as our meal so i'm thinking i might try to get two loafs of bread done cause they seem to really like my homemade bread :)

Also today i have to make up a bunch of homemade bagels. Hubby is going for a weekend for a conference (leaving tomorrow) and instead of paying the outrageous prices for food there he is bringing food with him. He wants bagels for his breakfast so i got to get to making them! Hope i can get this stuff done and still have time to rest and clean the house before he gets home lol We will see!

Home Photo Shoot :)

So i decided we needed some pictures. Hubby was the photographer for the group shots, i did the ones of just the girls.

35 Weeks

So i'll be 35 weeks along tomorrow. Excited about that!

You know how they say your clumsiness increases when you are this far along, well it sure does! Sunday evening while we were over at my our pastors house hanging out i went to go from the living room to the kitchen to get some more water. Well i got distracted by what someone said and ran full force into the door frame. My cup of ice with a little water in it went flying, made a fairly big mess and broke their cup. I wasn't hurt, just totally embarrassed! It was really funny though. Glad i could make everyone laugh :) I laughed so hard! But i totally blame it on the pregnancy you know hehe

I know several weeks ago i mentioned how hard dressing was now because things are fitting... well it's doubly worse now. I think i only have a select few shirts that work now :( Pants fit better though. Now that my stomach is bigger it's holding up the pants better lol

Today is bath day for me and the girls. I don't give the girls bath everyday because i don't want to dry out their hair and skin... same thing for me, especially now. My belly gets dry to quick that i don't dare take a shower very often. I oil big time after every bath but i think i need to start doing it even more because i'm starting to see more stretch marks :( Grrr for that!
Anyways i said that because after bath time today i ask Bobby if he would be willing to take pictures of me and the girls with my preggo belly. He agreed so i will try to set up a little photo shoot area up and pick us out some outfits. I'm looking forward to it. Hoping to get some cute ones i can photoshop and make look great. Going to look on pinterest for some posing ideas :)

Speaking of that i have so much to do so i'm going to run!

34 Weeks 5 Days

Monday, February 25, 2013

I really don't feel like i can stretch any more! This is the biggest i have ever been out of my pregnancies and still have 37+ days left >_< UGH

Also you can see most of my veins in my belly, it's pretty icky looking. It's like my skin is translucent. How more can it stretch? Woe is me!

Nursery

Nursery is basically done. We are waiting on new crib bolts to be sent to us from the manufacture (because we lost ours) and floors need mopped but other then that i'm calling it good.

The closet is arranged. All the cloths are out of the bags and either hung up or put in draws. I'm so relieved!

Here i pulled out a few of things Grandpa gave to me.
I believe they came from his Grandpa so i thought that would be cool to have in the room.

These letters me and Bob painted and Bob made the shelf.

Changing table i painted and changing pad cover i made.

Here is a shot of one side of the room.
Yeah old 70's chair there... not a fan of it's looks but it is a rocker and very comfy so it will have to do! Eventually i had planned on recovering it, but that won't be happening any time soon lol
Fun fact: The chair was a side of the road find back when we were newly weds and had no money to furnish our apartment hehe :)

And the other side of the room.
The crib will go centered under the shelf with the name.

I know it's not as designer as some are but it is to me. I love it. Very simple. Can't wait to get the crib in with my newly sewn crib bumper and sheets! That will help it feel more like a nursery :)

Busy Day

Saturday, February 23, 2013

Today was one of my active days. I got up early because Abby has gymnastics on Saturday morning. After that was done it was a bit of house cleaning. Then i had to be at Wal-Mart by 2pm because someone off of facebook was buying some of my old girls cloths. Since i would already be out i planned a shopping trip. I have started the weekly shopping like i talk about in my coupon blog (HERE). This week was a bigger week because some of my stock pile and supplies were either gone or almost gone. Like i only had one gallon of milk in freezer, something that can not be! And since milk was on sale for $1.99 again at Aldi's it was perfect time to stock up! So the milk should last several weeks now and some of the other things will last months. Like i had to buy a few seasonings and things like oil and lemon juice and diapers. So this trip was more expensive but half the stuff should last way more then a week! I also was able to buy Anabel some shirts that were on clearance with the money i made from selling stuff today, which is always fun! She needs cloths badly anyways since she is growing so fast!

Something i found at Wal-Mart that i am super excited about is Heinz All Natural Apple Cider with 'Mother' in it. This was exciting because last night i just pinned THIS on pinterest. This site said Wal-Mart didn't carry the apple cider vinegar with 'Mother' in it but today i stopped by just to check and there was a 'NEW' flag sailing next to this vinegar. I was so excited! Not only does is help cellulite it's suppose to help you lose weight because it speeds up your metabolism and it's known to help clear up your skin, relief joint pain ect. My Grandma and Grandpa took it to relief their arthritis. So with all those benefits i have been wanting to take it and my Hubby too cause one person wrote that they have bulging disks in their back just like my Hubby and that after taking this they where almost pain free.
So to help me i got out my half pint canning jars and made up 7 days worth of the stuff. I put in the frig so i can just grab it and drink.

Also with my produce i did a few of these helpful tips (HERE) also a pinterest find. Like putting my herbs stems in a jar of water with a bag over it in the frig, mushrooms in a brown paper bag, wrapping your banana stems in plastic and onions hung like this:

Tonight i'm also making a pinterst find meal. I have the recipe and my weeks meal plan listed (HERE) on my coupon blog. It's the Pesto Chicken Stuffed Shells. I have garlic bread on the side.

And i decided to put breakfast together for in the morning too. Also a pinterest find and the recipe is listed in the above link. It's a crock pot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal. That way when we get up in the morning for church i don't have to think about what to make for breakfast!

My routine is that with grocery shopping also comes cleaning out the frig of any bad left overs and spoiled food, and wiping off the shelves. I find that if you take a few second to wipe off the shelves when they are at their emptiest your frig stays sooooo much cleaner and it's really easy to do!

I also grabbed out some meat from the freezer to thaw over night in the frig so that tomorrow i can quickly put together a couple meals on the meal plan. They are crock pot meals which you can prepare and freeze ahead of time. It's my first time doing it but i think it will be fun!

Well dinner is almost done. Better run!

Diary of a Grumpy Pregnant Woman

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

I should rename this blog 'Diary of a Grumpy Pregnant Woman' because i feel like i complain a lot. I know i do and i feel bad that i do. I try to act better around Hubby but when i'm writing it's hard not to let it all out!

Last night was horrible! I woke up at about 4:30am-ish in terrible pain. I was having cramps/contractions only on my right side, every 4 minutes that would last 1 minute long. It hurt so bad i had trouble breathing sometimes. I was really starting to worry big time. Bob woke up and asked what he could do. For awhile all i had him do was hold my hand so i could squeeze it. Then i had him go get me some pain pills and extra pillows so i could try some different position. I was about to get up and try a warm bath or call my midwife and go somewhere to get checked out.
I put my bed flat and got flat on my left side and stretched out my legs straight and after awhile the pain each time started to lessen. I'm not sure if it was changing positions or the pain pills or if the pain just was going away on it's own but about an hour of all of this i was able to finally fall asleep.

Not sure what all that was about but so glad it stopped on it's own and i didn't have to go somewhere and get checked out.

Luckily (I think of it more as God being kind) the girls didn't wake up till 9:30am so i was able to get some sleep. Still today though i feel sucky. I want to cry at everything.... i have broken down and cried. I can't ever feel comfortable anywhere. The house is a mess, i'm suppose to be taking it as easy as possible and i'm soooo stressed out.

33wks

Friday, February 15, 2013

Haaa do i have much to say? 33wks equals lots of uncomfortable pressure and pain and just over all feeling icky. BUT it does so in waves. For the last few days i have been starting to feel queasy in the afternoon right before lunch and keeps on going till i go to sleep. Not to mention all the pain this huge baby is giving me. But i should be use to it by now. I'm excited about getting closer and closer to meeting my little bugger :) I hope he looks like his Daddy!
My babyfit.com says i have 49days to go till i'm 40wks. A tad hard to believe but then on the other hand it's like that long? I will admit i have been stressing over labor and going through it again. It's not fun and the after part isn't fun either except for the baby of course... i mean what your body goes through. And getting use to nursing again... hopefully the baby has no issues learning to nurse cause that can be difficult. Haa but all of that is worth it of course. I do so look forward to sleep any oh which way again and not worrying about the babes. I wonder if i still will want to sleep sitting up or not? I will have to experiment with that.
Man and if i think about it there is still a bit of stuff i might should do before the baby comes. Should probably get on that. I think Hubs is feeling the impending arrival too cause he mentioned about stressing about all the things he thinks about that needs to be done first.

Baby will be here before we know it! It's crazy! You know i complain a lot but i hope you also know that i am truly uber excited about having this baby! And i can't wait! I'm just a bad pregnant person but i do love my kids!

Valentines Day 2013

Thursday, February 14, 2013

So far some fun this Valentines day morning i decided to finally make that homemade playdough i have been wanting to make. I used butter containers to make containers for each of the different colors and used scrapbook paper with correlating colors to cover up the butter logos. I also put cherry extract in the playdough to make it smell yummy!

Then after nap time i let them pick out whatever dress they wanted to wear. And when they came out of their room they where shocked to see the surprise Grandpa had sent them sitting on the table.

Then they got a surprise in the mail from Their Uncle Woody and Aunt Judy!

Then when Daddy came home he had some cards for his girls too...
