Lemonade Is For Losers!

Friday, November 30, 2012

Saw this on facebook and had to save it. One day i would love to recreate this picture with my little ones:

Just picture it as Anabel, Abby and Matthew LOL Would look awesome next to Bob's senior picture on my wall of pictures! I so have to have to do this!

Then i could dress up all pinup like (of course more modest then they usually dress) and Bob dress up and i could pose on his classic car for a picture of me and him.

Another picture could be like the one above up but off to the right in the background could be Bob's classic car and me and him kissing or something cute.... then of course we would have to get a group shot of us.

I get so excited over things! Just like 3.5 more years before we can do this LOL

First Midwife Appointment

Thursday, November 29, 2012

So tonight was our first appointment with our midwife. See i'm saying 'our' because i really liked her and we want her to be our midwife. She seemed to have the personality that would work really well with me.

She talked about the normal stuff nutrition and even talked about with my about my issues i have with Abby and food and she gave me some great tips which we will do to better her nutrition! She found out i have the Group B Strep with both deliveries and she talked about it with me different then either of the other midwives had. The other midwives acted like it was no big deal, telling me it was the sort of thing that i could test positive one week and the next week it could be negative and the side effect were so slim that it wasn't nothing to worry about, just that i would have to have antibiotics administered before or during delivery. Kathy (this midwife) seemed like it was a bigger deal, but she said it was an immunity issue which i was never told. She also said there was steps i could take to help the test be negative. She said if i lessened my sugar intake, got some probiotics and ate greek yogurt i had a good chance of lowering my chances of getting it. She also gave me a paper on it that also said to up your vitamin C intake to help too. I told her i had a big issue with sugar and she said that might have played a role in me testing positive with the girls.

So tonight i had Bob stop and get me some of that icky healthy double fiber bread like she suggested and some greek yogurt. Ugh the lessening my sugar intake is going to suck! I ate quite a bit of the yogurt tonight.... i was able to stand it so that is a good thing.

She also said that since this is my third baby she would push my appointments to 6 weeks apart instead of 4.

She also gave me the option of having the baby at home, or for an extra fee having the baby at their birthing house which is a house with a big Jacuzzi tub and everything already set up. She mentioned the nice about that is we go there, have the baby and can leave you know, with no worry of things getting cleaned at the house... and that also if we wanted the kids could be left at our house instead of having to figure out what to do with the kids while in labor at our house. So that is something to think about. I can't think renting the house seems simpler. All the mess would be there. We could have the grandparents watch the kids here at our house while we go have the baby instead have trying to have the grandparents here at the house during labor, or trying to figure out where they would go while waiting. I personally don't want others here at the house while i'm laboring, i think and worry about them and get to self conscious with others around. So we will have to think and pray and decide about that.

She decided to do a little check up on me. Took my blood pressure, measure my belly and listened to the heart beat. I measured right on track, 22 weeks and they said the heartbeat sounded like a boy too :) Not that the heartbeat really counts but still it was fun! Also there i weight 120 so two more pounds then i weighted according to my scale, which is all good.

So all was good. And then we headed to the mall to finally let Abby do a Build-A-Bear stuffed animal. There was so many choices on which animal to pick and when asked which one she wanted she would point to a whole bunch of them. Finally the worker came over and picked her seemingly top two. One was a sparkly blue bunny (which is her favorite color) and the other was the penguin. Well she picked the penguin!

It was so cute to watch her. The part where you pick out the heart, rub it in your hands, hold it to your forehead and make a wish and then kiss it, was soooo adorable! I loved watching her.

Anabel when we told her where we were going started to get emotional about Abby picking out an animal so we let her bring in her build a bear monkey and let her pick out something for her monkey. Her and Daddy shopped for accessory while me and Abby stuffed her penguin. Anabel picked out the Rapunzel dress and was soooo happy about that! Over all a very good night!

We came home and i made hamburgers and Bob made sweet potato fries, which i forced myself to eat! LOL

Week 22

Week 22.... 18 weeks to go!

First midwife appointment today. Excited but nervous too. Hope it all goes good!

Baby has been causing me a bit of back pain recently, but not like labor pains so i'm not worried. I know i carry my babies pretty far back in there so it causes me more issues as they get bigger.

It's crazy that there is only 18 weeks left... getting to 18 weeks along came quick but i know the last half is usually feels slower. We do have a ton to do before baby comes so maybe it won't go by very slow? I don't know. It's been going by so fast it's a little crazy!

Another baby.... sometimes it worries me, just thinking about having to handle three babies rather then two and that everyone says having 3 is the hardest number. Will be true on outings. I already try not to go out by myself because it's so much work with me and two kids. I can't really picture me being able to handle these two plus a baby in a car seat when i go out. Somehow i will manage it. BUT when i think of it just here at the house, i'm not so worried. Hopefully this baby will be a calm one and as easy as Abby.

Week 21

Monday, November 26, 2012

Symptoms:   Still hungry frequently! Eating all the time! I need to go shopping though so i have more stuff to snack on, running out of quick yummy things.
Weight Gain: I seem to be staying at 118 for the moment
Cravings:  Breads! And oranges!
Food Aversions:  Seems to depend on the day, not one certain thing but there certainly is things that just turn my stomach. Tonight i ate almost all my chicken taco and then had to stop cause it felt if i tasted it again i would up chuck!
What made me cry this week:  Don't think i have actually cried this week o.0 Have had some really suckie dreams though, woke up and had to cuddle with Hubby so get over it but no tears
Medical Stuff:  I am going to meet a midwife on the 29th. Hoping we like her so i can get that taken care of and checked off my list!

The '09 picture was taken on Thanksgiving day so pretty close comparison.

I guess i'm not that hugely different, although i feel huge!

Weight Gain

Monday, November 19, 2012

So the last, like 5 times i've weight myself i was at 112. Haven't gained weight in like a month. Week 13 i had written down as 109. Before that i was at 112 and i was sorta worried about about loosing but then like the next day i was back up at 112 and didn't change from that for weeks.

Tonight i weight in at 118!!! (End of week 20)

I wonder if this means i broke the stand still and now i will start gaining? Sorta hope so but i hope at a slow healthy rate and not a needless fat gain. I guess maybe i should watch how much bread i'm eating now? LOL I can pack that bread in man! And i don't want to have a gigantic baby o.0 that would scare me!

Button

I'm afraid i'm going to be one of those pregnant mommies with the belly button that pops out with this one >_< I'm already looking close! I hope not lol, but i'll live with it if it happens of course. I guess if it does pop, that means i'm bigger with this one? I feel bigger!

I think there for awhile it was just bloating that made me so big cause i thought i was big and then i got smaller and now i'm slowly getting bigger again. So i think the 'bigger' before was the bloating and this is the real belly showing.

Girls Room In Progress

Saturday, November 17, 2012

I was so thrilled hubby decided to start working on what will be the girls new bed room (which use to be the play room). It needs to get done so we can get the girls moved in, because their old room will become the new nursery and i want to get it painted and done up. So this room has to get done first.

Hubby got the rest of the hills finished today along with the clouds. He said he might want to go back over the clouds to add more detail but he's not sure.

It's such a blessing to have an artsy-handy guy around :)

Next he will be adding details into the hills and added the big tree which it's branches will become bookshelves. I think the tree will be amazing!

Also can't wait for the bunk bed cottage he is going to make.
Inspired by this:

He will use the ladies building plan for the bunk bed above but make it his own and change the colors to look like the picture below.

By the time this is finished it is going to be awesome. I'm so lucky we can do this for our kids. I try to think of what i wished i could have had as a kid and try to give it to them. (while trying not to spoil them in the process lol)

Anyways i like what i am seeing. I don't know if we will be able to get everything done by the time the baby comes <>_<> i hope so! We will have a little extra time since the baby will be in the room with us for a while but really would like it done before the baby gets here. Lets see if i get my wish!

Bread

Friday, November 16, 2012

Sooooo i made some homemade bread. I got done late last night and i had a slice as a late night snack. I think i am the only one who has eaten it.... and it doesn't even have a whole slice left now.

I am eating it like crazy... it tastes soooo good! So like a whole loaf of bread in one day LOL

MY BAD!

lol

Worth The Buy

So today i am totally grateful for the very expensive bed we bought. We bought the ergo tempurpedic before i found out i was pregnant but that was one thing that was on our mind when we bought it. I remember telling him that maybe i wouldn't have to be down on the couch and in the recliner if i got pregnant with this bed. Which was totally right, at least so far.

I love our bed! Even more so now that i found a position that is comfortable for me in this stage of my pregnancy. I won't change the position because i'm afraid i won't get it back to that perfect position i sleep in.

Today when i went to babyfit.com there was a message board talking about how the women are having a hard time sleeping already, and all the ways they are trying to cope and talking about coping as we get further along. I'm just like 'for the most part i am sleeping good' ... but i didn't want to post that. I mean i have my complaints, getting up and peeing and there is always some uncomfortableness with cramping or brax and hicks but i think compared to what i look back at with my other girls... yeah this is nothing so far and i give my bed the credit. Now grant it i might start having more trouble as i get bigger but i think that goes without saying. But i think it will be lessened with the bed.

Thank God for giving us the opportunity and the huge deal we got for the bed!

She loves it!

Potty time!

I try and suggest colors and she says 'no! pink!'

Playing ghosts. Both of them running around going 'Boooo'.
Abby cracks me up with her tissue, trying to be a ghost!

Anabel Felt The Baby

So last night as i laid in bed, Baby Matthew was moving around so much. I decided to push on my stomach and he kicked me.... you could feel it! I told Bob 'Tomorrow you're going to have to try and feel the baby again because i think you will finally be able to feel it'.

This morning Anabel came up to cuddle with me and i asked her if she wanted to try and feel the baby. Of course she said yes. So i took her hand and pushed it on my tummy. Moments later there was kicking. I asked her if she could feel it. She nodded her head and said 'Baby Matthew is wiggling all over!'

A special little moment! Anabel is the first person to feel the baby move! That will be a memory i will remember :)

Also we made an appointment with a mid wife for the 29th of November. I am relieved to finally have an appointment, hoping i will like her!

Week 20

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Half ways baby!

All of a sudden this afternoon (when i was actually resting for once) i was surprised by a strong thump. I was like WHOA! And now he is moving like crazy while i am sitting here. So far it's still at the 'oh it so cute' to feel him move stage... trying to enjoy it before it gets to the 'Holy cow! Stop pushing on my ribs!' and crying. LOL

I have seemed to have more energy because i've been keeping the house soooo nice. Today i feel extra tired and overwhelmed right now but that is because i have so much to do right now.

Monday, November 12, 2012

Two successful nights with Anabel wearing just undies! Excited! Hope this keeps up! Would so be nice to have her totally out of diapers for nights!

Operation Maddie

I realized that another reason Maddie could be loosing weight is possibly worms, i know that causes dogs to loose weight. We aren't sure if it's that or just that the stray cat is eating all her food (which was happening too) so our first step was to feed her inside but today i decided to add rid worm to her food. Also i looked online for home remedies and they said carrots are suppose to help too, so i got out my food chopper and chopped up some carrots and added it to her wet/dry food along with the rid worm pill and her low dose Bayer.

Next step will be to take the scissors to her since clippers aren't working on her hair and then a deep scrub bath.

Sunday

Sunday, November 11, 2012

Today has gone pretty good. After church we made a run into Wal-Mart and saved almost $50 bucks in ad matches and we also bought the dog some more food that she was needing.

Since the sudden weather change we brought Maddie inside. Until i get her hair cut and her a bath we aren't letting her on the main level but we set up a nice little area for her. We also decided we are going to try halfing her food with canned food, that way we can combine a low dose Bayer aspirin in with her food. I managed to get a whole bunch of the Bayer aspirin for free at Walgreens a while back and wasn't sure what to use it for until my father in-law told me he gives it to his old dog for his joins. She loved the half dry half wet food we gave her, it was gone within a few minutes hehe. I'm hoping she will do good and not poop and pee all over place like the last time we tried bringing her in. So crossing my fingers!

Then we turned on Snow White and the Huntsmen to watch the last half of it while the girls were asleep. I ended up falling asleep before it was finished but that's ok since i have seen it already.

Then i got up and went to cleaning. By then Abby was awake and Hubs was trying to sleep so i took Abby into the kitchen with me. She helped me put away the last of the groceries and then helped me dry and put up dishes. I managed to get the microwave scrubbed too so now the kitchen looks really nice. We are going to attempt to keep the baby gate that kept the girls out of the kitchen, down. We will see if i can handle it. LOL They are going to have to learn some kitchen rules!

I'm so glad that i have been in the mood to do major house cleaning and thing are staying clean for the most part cause i have kept on top of picking up. Makes me feel so much calmer when the house is clean, i didn't realize it LOL Hubby has been doing his share of helping too which is nice :)

We ate so much at lunch that we still feel very full. The girls are having a light dinner and we are holding off till we are hungry. I'm sure i will get hungry before Hubby, but he bought us a special pizza for dinner so at least if we get hungry there won't be a big cooking process.

I was going to make caramel popcorn for watching the Walking Dead tonight but our friends are coming over afterwards to watch the Talking Dead (the after show talk show about the show lol) and she is bringing pie so i guess we don't need two desserts :)

Speaking of pie! We are totally stocked for a LONG time! We bought 6 pies, two kinds of apple and some pumpkin pies and then we bought 5 cobblers of two kinds, some peach and some blackberry, because they were on ad match at a big coupon so they were really cheap! We also stocked up on butter so we have 6 pounds of butter in the frig and 6 pounds in the freezer hehe. So nice to have a stock!

Anyways next big thing on my kitchen agenda will be cleaning the frig. Most of the old left overs have been taken care of but there might be a few left, but the big thing will be wiping everything out and organizing. I always feel great when my frig is nice and clean and while it's not horrid right now i like to clean it often so it doesn't get horrid :)

My 'Hot Spot' of a kitchen table is almost taken care of. I worked on it Friday and almost got it cleared, although it has collect my sunday coupon inserts today so it needs cleared again.

I guess all this adds up to show me i'm feeling better. I can tell when i am feeling better because i'm willing to get up and do things around the house. So i am grateful for the lift!

Anyways better go cause the show will come on in not to long and have to work on getting the girls up to bed!

Oh last night Anabel slept all night with no diaper and didn't mess the bed :) Yay yay!

19 Weeks Along

Thursday, November 8, 2012

Almost half ways done!
I'm starting to feel antsy and i think i'm starting to stress hubby. I feel like we have no time before this baby gets here and we have so much i wanted to get done before hand. I wanted to get the girls room all finished and have them in it before Christmas o.0 doubt that will happen. And i wanted the girls room done so we could get the nursery set up and done.
I know how we are and how we procrastinate, so i'm extra stressed. 4 months isn't much time for all we want done cause i know how we work. Having to wait till he is off work and... well i won't get into it. It's just not much time and i'm stressed cause Hubs feels like we got plenty of time, or at least that is how i am reading him.  lol

Today's Fall Craft

Monday, November 5, 2012

Left side is Anabel's and right side is Abby's.
The orange leaves are the thankful notes we are doing. They color the leaf and why they do that we talk about being thankful. Once they are done coloring i write on the back what they are thankful for.

Today Anabel said she was thankful for 'Butterflies and Hopscotch' and Abby said she was thankful for 'Moooo COWS!' hehe
