Should be a busy next few days.
Tomorrow would normally be a short day for Bob which makes me a happier Wife, because there is no weights after school. But tomorrow is Bulter Colleges first spring game and Bobby is taking some of the high school students to the game. So there is a break from when Bob gets off to when the game starts but he needs some special art supplies that ne needs to get before next week roles around and the stuff is in Wichita. He’s thinking of running to Wichita to get the supplies in the that time he has in between work and the football game. Upside is that if he does run, he is taking both the girls with him which will be nice.
If he does go and take the girls, that might be my time that i need to run to the store because i need to buy groceries badly.
Today i wrote up the ad matches for the week and tonight i wrote up my meal plan and shopping list… so besides going back through and making sure i have all the coupons that might go with my items, then i am ready to go shopping.
Then Saturday Bobby has to work the swimming meet in the morning and thinks he will be done maybe around 2pm. After he gets off we are heading to Wichita to do some leisurely shopping. I want to go to the Habitat Restore for a few things and then i am hoping Bob will take me to Kohls. I am in real need of bottoms… pants and shorts cause having this baby, i upped a size or two. I know it’s probably the last thing Hubs wants to do is go cloths shopping but I'm not sure when I'm going to have him with me, in Wichita any time soon. We will see.
But in the evening we are going to some football game. I guess the El Dorado band is doing a drumline competition at the half time so we are going to support. They had a special deal on tickets where you get a family pack and it includes hotdog, chips and drink for 4 people. Normally i would not be to happy about going to watch some football but Bob said we wouldn’t have to stay the whole time…. and at least this time I'm not running solo, Bob will be with me… which will be nice.
I’m hoping Saturday will be a nice time out with the fam and not stressful. I had a pleasant time last time i was out on the town and that was me by myself with all three kiddos so surely this would be easier :)
It seems like Matthew has been sleeping a tad bit longer lately. I’m just hoping it continues! I think it has to do with him eating more.
He’s been letting me lay him down as well, which it has been nice to get a break every once in a while. Today after a good feeding and diaper change he went to sleep and let me lay him down. I somehow got a burst of energy and i got up and did some house cleaning during nap time. Good thing too cause the house has been getting bad.
I was able to clean the bathroom, sink and toilet.
The i moved onto the kitchen and put a load of dishes in the washer, cleared the clutter, hand washed the remaining dishes, put away all the dishes, cleaned all the counters. Then went through the spice cabinet, emptied it out, cleaned the cabinet. I had some repeat spices in there that i took out and put in the stock pile and i also refilled some of the spices. All in all the spice cabinet is so much nicer now!
Then i cleaned the clutter in the living room and dinning room. I washed the coffee table and the kids chairs.
Then i swept and mopped the floors (kitchen, bathroom, dinning room and living room)
I am so proud of myself for getting all that done!
and before all that i helped the girls do some schooling. Anabel worked on her school book while Abby worked on ABCmouse.com and then on some printed work where she did some tracing.
So i feel like a huge accomplishment! It’s the most i have done since having Matthew. I hope this can keep up and i can continue to get stuff done.
Since Matthew doesn’t let me lay him down often or very long, when i do finally get to lay him down i know i need to scurry to get anything done. It’s usually been about 30 minutes that he gives me. Usually i hurry to get a shower, throw a load of laundry in and a load of dishes in the dish washer.
I have a hard time sometimes because i can’t get more done but i keep telling myself that as long as i get those few things done then i should feel good about myself.
Yesterday Hubby helped me clean up the house because he is going back to work Friday (tomorrow) and he wanted to get it done so he could relax for the most part today. It was so nice to get his help. We got a lot of things done…. I’m going to miss him so bad when he goes back tomorrow :(
Nights are getting easier. He’s still getting me up every 2-3 hours at night for feedings and at about 4am i usually get up and change his diaper. Not to mention the potty breaks for me because I'm drinking like tons of water. At least he is letting me lay him down almost between every feeding. I’m loving sleeping with no baby belly… i actually get to sleep on my belly! For some reason my arms are not giving me issues like they were before pregnancy and during pregnancy. Hey I'm not complaining!
Today has been a little trying for me though… for some reason. Right after breakfast i started in on doing the girls hair and dressing them up in their fancy dresses because i wanted to do a photo shoot with the girls and Matthew. I thought it was going to be perfect timing because Matthew was awake so i thought by the time i got the girls all ready he would be ready to nurse and then to fall asleep.
After i got the girls ready i went up stairs to set up the props i wanted to use and get the space heater on for Matthew because he was going to be naked. Bobby brought up Matthew and i got him undressed and then fed him. Matthew still wanted to be awake… i couldn’t believe it. I rocked him for awhile and thought he was getting close to be out so i called Bob and girls up. We tried one pose with the girls and Matthew was starting to get really up set. I took him and cuddled him and thought maybe he might go to sleep. I sent Bob back down with the girls and the plan was that i would call him back up after Matthew fell asleep. Well after like an hour and Matthew still not asleep i called down to Bob to get the girls out of their fancy dresses and go ahead and feed them lunch. I messed with Matthew for a bit more with no success to getting him asleep.
Since Matthews umbilical cord had fallen off yesterday i decided to give him his first official bath. Thought maybe after that he might fall asleep. So i bathed him and then lotioned him up really good. Finally he fell asleep! So i was able to pose him a few time and get a few cute shots. I didn’t get every shot i wanted but i figured i still have time. Plus my sister is coming tomorrow and she has the crochet hats i commissioned her to make me for some pictures so i will be doing more pictures once i get them.
Anyways after i was done with the pictures it was way past my lunch time and i had gotten a terrible headache. I ate, took pain pills and ended up making myself a coffee to try and help my head but it took forever to get it to feel better. In the mean time i was really touchy and moody and it sucked because everything felt overwhelming.
Finally my headache got better and slowly the night got better too.
I’m really sad when i think about going to sleep because i know Bobby is going back to work and he won’t be here when i wake. I knew it would happen sooner or later and Bob had wanted to go back Wednesday but he decided to stay till Friday so i am at least happy i got a few more days of his help.
First attempt at the newborn pictures. I guess i picked bad timing because he stayed awake up there while i was trying to take pics of him for over an hour, then he finally fell asleep but wouldn’t let go of the binky lol
I think i got a few cute ones. Really wanted to do more sleeping pose but after he fell asleep and i tried to change poses i found that he had peed and pooped himself and there was no keeping him asleep and clean him up.
Oh well, i will try again soon :)
Got a few big things done today. Called and talked to someone about our property taxes. Found out why we didn’t get a bill this go around. For some reason they have it flagged that mortgage pays it and therefore wouldn’t send us a bill, but in all actuality we pay the bill not our mortgage. So there was a late fee on it :( UGH but we got it fixed so now they will send us the bill instead of the mortgage and we also got the check in the mail.
Then i called our health insurance and got Matthew added to my policy. Was happy to find out that since we have a family policy that it cost nothing extra a month to add Matthew. That is a relief!
Now tomorrow (if i remember to remind Hubs) Hubs will be calling to see if he can get an eye appointment set up for at least Abby at a place with an ophthalmologist. I would like to get an eye appointment set up for me as well but we will see if we can. I especially want one for Abby as soon as possible.
Then today while updating the budget i saw an odd bill on our credit card which neither me or Hubs remembers making. It was charged on the 9th, the day i gave birth to Matthew o.0 for an even $150…. i don’t remember such a thing! So now I'm worried about that, what is going on there? So we are going to call and try to figure it out.
So hopefully we will get a few things done tomorrow.

Since the birth of little Matthew Jr. things have went very well. I am getting the hang of his eating patterns, the way he likes to be burped and laid down and also how to manage night times.
He is a great little man.
We’ve been so lucky to have such a giving church family. So far we haven’t had to cook a dinner since we’ve had Matthew and we’ve had enough left over's from those meals to take care of most lunches as well. We are so blessed to have this church family.
Matthew was born on the 9th and the girls went back with Grandpa to stay with them for a few days so me and Bob could have some rest and bonding time with Matthew. They came back with the girls on that following Saturday. We celebrated Anabel’s 4th that Saturday. Saturday was very fun but i was surprised how tired and sore i was afterwards. My body wasn’t use to picking up Abby as much as i did that day.
That Sunday i was on my own during the service. Bob had to take care of the slides so he was sitting in the back at the computer and i was with Matthew and the girls. Luckily i was smart enough to bring the moby wrap with me and i had Matthew in the wrap during the worship service. Abby was in underwear so i told the nursery lady to txt me if she needed to use the potty and i would come and take her. Not long after the service started i got the potty txt. When i was in the middle of taking Abby to the potty Matthew started fussing in his moby wrap. So once we got back to the nursery i had to feed him. Once done feeding him i noticed his clothes were wet. LOL he had blown out his diaper, very messy. The whole time i was changing his diaper and cloths he screamed…. the whole service probably heard it I'm sure, although when i asked a friend she only said ‘a little’ hehe. Oh well, that’s how it goes with a baby :) By the time i got back out in the service there wasn’t much sermon left lol
Today we are sort of doing a test day. By that i mean i am taking of the girls pretty much all by myself along with Matthew, to see how i can manage.
So far things have been going great. Today things have been lining up… like Matthew will be asleep during meals and times when i need to be up with the girls. He’s been sleeping by himself in his pack’n’play which has given me time to do dishes, laundry and cleaning not to mention cuddle time with each of my girls. I’m glad still to get one on one time with the girls…. i know that is very important.
I’m proud of myself for keeping up on the dishes and all the laundry, laundry being the big thing.
One thing i have noticed starting yesterday… it’s starting to look like Matthew has the same tear duct issue that Anabel had and looks like in the exact same eye as well. He’s been getting a lot of gunk in his left eye and sometimes even wakes up with it gunked shut just like Anabel’s use to do. Luckily Anabel’s cleared up but not for at least a year :( We have started the warm rag and massaging the tear duct. Hopefully his clears up quicker then Anabel’s did. At least we have been there, done that, so understand what is going on.
On a side note i weight myself today. I’m 112, two pounds off my pre-baby weight. So YAY! That means i don’t have all this extra weight to work off once i start working out ^_^ That makes me one happy camper!
Monday the 8th was a very good day. I was feeling pretty good and it was beautiful outside. Bob was working late and had to do the scoring at a JV baseball game. Since it was so nice i decided to take the girls out to watch a little of the baseball game before i had to take the girls to the YMCA for their gymnastics classes. It was really nice to sit outside and watch a little of the game.
After all that was done we headed home so i could start dinner. Bob got home about the same time as we did and that is when the contractions started. They were about 10 a part and there was something about them that felt different. We had hamburgers but i only got about half of it eaten because of the contractions. Contractions went to 5-10min and i called the midwife to tell her what was going on and how i was feeling. She wanted me to drink a bunch of water and get in the bath or lay down and see if anything changed. I did that and for awhile the contractions were 3-5min apart but when i got out of the tub it seemed to go back to 5-7min. I called the midwife again to tell her how the contractions were. She asked if i wanted her to come down. I was worried it wasn’t the real thing or if it was that it was really early on and told her i was going to try and sleep if i could and i would call her back when things picked up or felt more painful.
We went to bed and turned on a movie. Contractions went to 10-15min apart and i figured since things were changing so much that it was probably false labor… but something about how the contractions felt made me question that and still wondered if it was the real thing.
At about 1ish i woke up and realized i had been sleeping for at least an hour. I got so made because i had fallen asleep. I ended up going down stairs and getting some peanut butter and chocolate and ate it very madly and fast lol. I stayed up about 20-30m and had about two more contractions. I was till mad but went back up stairs to lay down. When i got up there contractions started in again at about 10m apart and 1-1.5m long. This kept up and i was able to fall back asleep some and some times i just slept in between the contractions.
Sometime in the morning everything changed. All of a sudden the contractions got really intense and about 2-5m apart and lasting mostly 1.5m long. I had Bob go call Deanna from our church to pick up the girls and he also called the midwife. The contractions were crazy intense! They were so hard to handle! After Deanna came and got the girls i came down stairs and Bob started getting the birthing pool set up.
Midwives came about 6:30-7ish and Kathy checked me right away because she said the way i was acting through the contractions made her think i was pretty far along. I was 7-8cm when she checked me. I was soooooo excited! Contractions were so crazy intense. Finally Bob got the pool filled enough for me to get in and it felt so much better being in the pool. Things get a little hazy from them on out. I know at some point each contraction made me feel like my head was going to explode from heat so Bob got me a cold rag and then that went to a bag of ice.
At some point the contractions automatically started to make me push. I also remembering freaking out when ever the midwives wanted to touch me LOL I would yell at them and tell them to stop LOL haaaa i know i’m difficult. I was talking and complaining a lot.
Matthew was coming regardless and being born still in his sac of water. They tried to break it a couple times and i remember them chuckling and saying that the sac was really strong cause it wasn’t wanting to break.
Finally his head was out and they hurried to get Bob over there because he was going to help pull him out. It was surprising to me what kind of relief i felt, how almost painless it felt having the head out and that it seemed like a long time before the next contraction happened. Bob later told me there was a little whole in the sac of water and that he could feel Matthew’s hair through it :) Then one more push and he was out! They had to peel the sac off of him but it all happened fast because he was in my arms in a flash.
He was bright eye but way more vocal then the girls were when they were born hehe
And now he is here and adorable and sweet and i am in love with him!!!
I have to brag on my girl. Anabel has been great today. The last few days have been trying with her, she has been getting into things and doing things she knows not to do. It
Today she has been fabulous! At nap time i put Abby down for nap and then asked Anabel to put up her shoes. My intention was to have her put up her shoes and then i would put her down for nap. Instead Anabel decided to clean the whole rest of the down stairs.
She not only put up her shoes but she searched the house for any other shoes she could put away. She put up her and Abby’s jacket in the closet. She picked up any trash she could find around the house (Abby had torn up some paper earlier and i hadn’t gotten to put it in the trash) She put up her coloring books and crayons. She picked up the lunch dishes and put them in the kitchen. She fixed the blanket on the couch and the pillows.
We have the front door open because it’s so nice outside so she went out there and fixed the front porch carpets because the wind is always blowing them. She pushed all the chairs in at the table from lunch. And she just kept going and going. She even looked under all the end tables and the couch and fished anything she could out from under them.
She did everything i had planned on doing after i put her down for nap. She went until there was nothing else to do and she came to me and said “There mommy i did all the house work for you!”
How did i get such a fabulous girl? I mean she is 3 years old for goodness sakes! Such a good girl i am raising! So blessed to have her as a daughter.
So for all that hard work she got a Peep and then we went and sat on the front porch swing and we clip nails and painted nails and then she asked me to do her hair so i braided it for her.
I’m one blessed lady :)
