OMGosh, So Much Done! YAY!

Saturday, January 12, 2013

Omgosh, I've done so much today but my house looks in worse shape then when i started lol. Lets see.... what have i done?

  • Bob got the second clothes rod hung in the new girls closet.
  • I brought down all of the girls cloth from the up stairs closet to the new downstairs
  • Totally organized the girls cloths and shoes and filled the new closet.
  • Pulled out all the toys from the storage room, sorted out what the girls would still play with, what could be saved for Matthew and what could be thrown away and what could be sold.
  • Organized the girls toys and put them away in containers and put away in the closet shelves.
Use the plastic bags that sheets come in and empty wipe containers to organize the toys.
Still need to label the wipe containers.
Funny how once it's all gone through and organized neatly that it doesn't look like near as many toys LOL
  • Put all the toys that could be used for Matthew into a tote.
  • Pulled out all the boxes of scrap fabric/repurpose cloths out of the storage, went through them all, figured out what i would keep, what i would sell and what i would throw away. Also pulled out some baby girl cloths boxes i found and went through and threw away all the stained ones and separated the others that could be sold.
  • Pulled out all of Matthews things i have been piling in totes and went through everything. Put cloths according to size in separate clear plastic bags/totes

Doing all the organizing of Matthew's cloths will help once we get the nursery empty and get it painted and ready to decorate/fill.
Now i need to finish going through the storage room, make sure i haven't missed anything. I also need to pull out any clothing that can be Space Bagged and get the rest of the baby furniture pulled out for Matthew, then refill the storage room neatly. That will include carrying up all the things i pulled out and sorted back up stairs.  A lot to do but i think today i might have gotten about half of the total job done.
I still have three garbage bag fulls of stuffed animals i need to go through and see what will be kept, thrown or sold... might do that while i sit and rest (for the most part) tonight with Hubs.

Bob has been working all day on making homemade bi-fold doors for the girls closet. We priced store bought bi-folds and the one smaller door was going to be about $80 not to mention we need one for the other closet and it's much bigger. So instead we went and bought supplies for the second cloths rod in their closet, all the stuff needed for the extra extra long curtain rods for the six windows in the room and stuff for the two bi-fold doors for about $130, so a MAJOR money saver doing it ourselves! So wonderful to have a Hubby that can do all this! This is his first attempt at making a door but so far it looks like it's coming together great! I can't wait till be gets enough done that i can take some pictures!
