Nursery

Monday, February 25, 2013

Nursery is basically done. We are waiting on new crib bolts to be sent to us from the manufacture (because we lost ours) and floors need mopped but other then that i'm calling it good.

The closet is arranged. All the cloths are out of the bags and either hung up or put in draws. I'm so relieved!

Here i pulled out a few of things Grandpa gave to me.
I believe they came from his Grandpa so i thought that would be cool to have in the room.

These letters me and Bob painted and Bob made the shelf.

Changing table i painted and changing pad cover i made.

Here is a shot of one side of the room.
Yeah old 70's chair there... not a fan of it's looks but it is a rocker and very comfy so it will have to do! Eventually i had planned on recovering it, but that won't be happening any time soon lol
Fun fact: The chair was a side of the road find back when we were newly weds and had no money to furnish our apartment hehe :)

And the other side of the room.
The crib will go centered under the shelf with the name.

I know it's not as designer as some are but it is to me. I love it. Very simple. Can't wait to get the crib in with my newly sewn crib bumper and sheets! That will help it feel more like a nursery :)

Busy Day

Saturday, February 23, 2013

Today was one of my active days. I got up early because Abby has gymnastics on Saturday morning. After that was done it was a bit of house cleaning. Then i had to be at Wal-Mart by 2pm because someone off of facebook was buying some of my old girls cloths. Since i would already be out i planned a shopping trip. I have started the weekly shopping like i talk about in my coupon blog (HERE). This week was a bigger week because some of my stock pile and supplies were either gone or almost gone. Like i only had one gallon of milk in freezer, something that can not be! And since milk was on sale for $1.99 again at Aldi's it was perfect time to stock up! So the milk should last several weeks now and some of the other things will last months. Like i had to buy a few seasonings and things like oil and lemon juice and diapers. So this trip was more expensive but half the stuff should last way more then a week! I also was able to buy Anabel some shirts that were on clearance with the money i made from selling stuff today, which is always fun! She needs cloths badly anyways since she is growing so fast!

Something i found at Wal-Mart that i am super excited about is Heinz All Natural Apple Cider with 'Mother' in it. This was exciting because last night i just pinned THIS on pinterest. This site said Wal-Mart didn't carry the apple cider vinegar with 'Mother' in it but today i stopped by just to check and there was a 'NEW' flag sailing next to this vinegar. I was so excited! Not only does is help cellulite it's suppose to help you lose weight because it speeds up your metabolism and it's known to help clear up your skin, relief joint pain ect. My Grandma and Grandpa took it to relief their arthritis. So with all those benefits i have been wanting to take it and my Hubby too cause one person wrote that they have bulging disks in their back just like my Hubby and that after taking this they where almost pain free.
So to help me i got out my half pint canning jars and made up 7 days worth of the stuff. I put in the frig so i can just grab it and drink.

Also with my produce i did a few of these helpful tips (HERE) also a pinterest find. Like putting my herbs stems in a jar of water with a bag over it in the frig, mushrooms in a brown paper bag, wrapping your banana stems in plastic and onions hung like this:

Tonight i'm also making a pinterst find meal. I have the recipe and my weeks meal plan listed (HERE) on my coupon blog. It's the Pesto Chicken Stuffed Shells. I have garlic bread on the side.

And i decided to put breakfast together for in the morning too. Also a pinterest find and the recipe is listed in the above link. It's a crock pot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal. That way when we get up in the morning for church i don't have to think about what to make for breakfast!

My routine is that with grocery shopping also comes cleaning out the frig of any bad left overs and spoiled food, and wiping off the shelves. I find that if you take a few second to wipe off the shelves when they are at their emptiest your frig stays sooooo much cleaner and it's really easy to do!

I also grabbed out some meat from the freezer to thaw over night in the frig so that tomorrow i can quickly put together a couple meals on the meal plan. They are crock pot meals which you can prepare and freeze ahead of time. It's my first time doing it but i think it will be fun!

Well dinner is almost done. Better run!

Diary of a Grumpy Pregnant Woman

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

I should rename this blog 'Diary of a Grumpy Pregnant Woman' because i feel like i complain a lot. I know i do and i feel bad that i do. I try to act better around Hubby but when i'm writing it's hard not to let it all out!

Last night was horrible! I woke up at about 4:30am-ish in terrible pain. I was having cramps/contractions only on my right side, every 4 minutes that would last 1 minute long. It hurt so bad i had trouble breathing sometimes. I was really starting to worry big time. Bob woke up and asked what he could do. For awhile all i had him do was hold my hand so i could squeeze it. Then i had him go get me some pain pills and extra pillows so i could try some different position. I was about to get up and try a warm bath or call my midwife and go somewhere to get checked out.
I put my bed flat and got flat on my left side and stretched out my legs straight and after awhile the pain each time started to lessen. I'm not sure if it was changing positions or the pain pills or if the pain just was going away on it's own but about an hour of all of this i was able to finally fall asleep.

Not sure what all that was about but so glad it stopped on it's own and i didn't have to go somewhere and get checked out.

Luckily (I think of it more as God being kind) the girls didn't wake up till 9:30am so i was able to get some sleep. Still today though i feel sucky. I want to cry at everything.... i have broken down and cried. I can't ever feel comfortable anywhere. The house is a mess, i'm suppose to be taking it as easy as possible and i'm soooo stressed out.

33wks

Friday, February 15, 2013

Haaa do i have much to say? 33wks equals lots of uncomfortable pressure and pain and just over all feeling icky. BUT it does so in waves. For the last few days i have been starting to feel queasy in the afternoon right before lunch and keeps on going till i go to sleep. Not to mention all the pain this huge baby is giving me. But i should be use to it by now. I'm excited about getting closer and closer to meeting my little bugger :) I hope he looks like his Daddy!
My babyfit.com says i have 49days to go till i'm 40wks. A tad hard to believe but then on the other hand it's like that long? I will admit i have been stressing over labor and going through it again. It's not fun and the after part isn't fun either except for the baby of course... i mean what your body goes through. And getting use to nursing again... hopefully the baby has no issues learning to nurse cause that can be difficult. Haa but all of that is worth it of course. I do so look forward to sleep any oh which way again and not worrying about the babes. I wonder if i still will want to sleep sitting up or not? I will have to experiment with that.
Man and if i think about it there is still a bit of stuff i might should do before the baby comes. Should probably get on that. I think Hubs is feeling the impending arrival too cause he mentioned about stressing about all the things he thinks about that needs to be done first.

Baby will be here before we know it! It's crazy! You know i complain a lot but i hope you also know that i am truly uber excited about having this baby! And i can't wait! I'm just a bad pregnant person but i do love my kids!

Valentines Day 2013

Thursday, February 14, 2013

So far some fun this Valentines day morning i decided to finally make that homemade playdough i have been wanting to make. I used butter containers to make containers for each of the different colors and used scrapbook paper with correlating colors to cover up the butter logos. I also put cherry extract in the playdough to make it smell yummy!

Then after nap time i let them pick out whatever dress they wanted to wear. And when they came out of their room they where shocked to see the surprise Grandpa had sent them sitting on the table.

Then they got a surprise in the mail from Their Uncle Woody and Aunt Judy!

Then when Daddy came home he had some cards for his girls too...

Married, Funny!

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

Ok so the girls likes to play dress up. Anabel likes to be a 'Princess' and Abby sometimes put on some play cloths that are suppose to be a ninja outfit but they call it the 'King' cloths. She they Princess and King and it's really cute.

Today Anabel found her play ring. She was so excited! A while later I heard Anabel bawling and i asked her to come here. I asked her what was wrong and in between wailing she said 'Sissy doesn't want to marry me!!!! She said no!!!!' She was all dressed up and on further questions she told me since she had her ring she wanted Sissy to marry her but Sissy was reading books and told her no and all she wanted to do was get married!

I almost laughed at her, she was so sad! Tears streaming down. I held back though and told her that Sissy obviously wanted to read right now but if you give her some time maybe later she would want to pretend marry her. That made it all better.

I'm guessing all this came about because a while ago Anabel questioned me about my rings while i was watching the show 'Four Weddings' where the ladies are in a competition for the best wedding. So i explained it all to her. I'm guessing that is why she wanted to get married when she found her ring.

Just now when the girls where fighting over a doll Anabel said 'Sissy you want to marry me?' saying it like a peace offering LOL Might need to explain a little more what getting married means LOL

Anable's Gymnastics 2-4-12

Hanging on the bars :) She loved this. She hang with no help from the teacher and look how high those knees are! Higher then the other kids i saw :) My strong little monkey!

Aching aching...

Monday, February 4, 2013

Man if these braxton hicks are a sign of what labor will be like, i'm going to have a heck of a lot of back labor. These pain permeate down into my butt and just ache all around my lower belly and where my legs connect down into my upper thighs. Haaa it's so not fun! Especially the pain from the back into the butt.

Well thanks to Mom and Dad who bought new wood for the bunk beds (not pressure treated) Bobby started in working on the bunk beds tonight. He got almost back to where he was before minus the steps, he still has to make those. He said tomorrow i could start painting what he has put together. That would be fun! We will see how i feel tomorrow and how my day goes tomorrow though to see if i will get to painting or not. Bob wants me to be all ready to go shopping as soon as he gets home so he can watch the girls and i can go and get back before he has to go to work in the evening.

(31 weeks)

Starting yesterday evening and all through today it was like i haven't slept for days. I have been passing out so easy, all the time. Today at nap time i passed out and woke up hours later. Even when i woke up i felt like my body was dead, like my body didn't want to move an inch and i just wanted to go back to sleep. I'm not a fan of that feeling even though when i told Bob he said he loved that feeling LOL

After awhile my energy picked up some and i was able to do some house cleaning, which was good cause i don't want to get behind on the house since i cleaned it so much the other day.

Bobby has been busy today. He got his handmade wood corbels up and the homemade curtain rod on. So now the curtains are up! So happy about that! Then i asked him if he could make me a few shelves for the walls. He's already got them made (three of them) and glued so we can painted them and get them up! One will go up for the wooden letters i bought that spell out 'MATTHEW' to sit on. I need to paint up the letters. Bob recommended that i paint each letter and different tone of green and then use the same color stain on all of them... might be really cute. Then the other shelves Bob made will be for a picture frame to sit on or some of the cute books family has given me. I think it will be uber cute!

Uncomfortableness

Friday, February 1, 2013

Haa been dealing with some really uncomfortableness starting yesterday evening. Had a ton of braxton hicks last night causing me lots of pain/discomfort. A ton of back and leg pain. Sucks cause every time the baby moves his head jams downwards... not comfy!
I was feeling so bad i asked Bobby (who was doing some after school work) if he would consider picking up something cheap for dinner. He was a doll and brought me a few burgers. With the help of Bobby's lap the braxton hicks slowed down when i changed some positions and ended up on my side using Bob as a pillow.
At night my back and legs where still bothering me really bad and i know i had a few braxton hicks in the night because i woke up to a few.
This morning wasn't very fun because i was still in pain.
Now it's mostly my legs that are hurting and a little back. Not really having the braxton hicks lately which makes me take a deep breath.
I have a feeling it won't get to much easier from here on out especially since this big baby is only going to get bigger!

At first i was like 'YAY big baby' but then i got to think about it and i started to freak out for a few minutes. I've still got two months for this baby to grow! But then i think about the baby shows i watch and how doctors freak out saying the baby is going to be to big so lets do a c-section without even trying natural ... and then they do the c-section and the baby is like 7lbs which is not that big! And i'm always like 'Man those guys are so stupid' lol.
So i might want to try to eat a little less fatty foods since baby is at the weight putting on stage and he is already 2-3 weeks bigger then maybe he should. Could do with not eating sausage smothered in cheese but every once in awhile LOL.
I haven't gained overall weight in a long time i'm still anywhere from 125-130lbs but he's obviously getting bigger so... the only way i see that happening is that i'm getting a little smaller and he is getting bigger? I don't know... but i would kinda like that. These thighs of mine have gotten to big with this baby as it is!
