So yesterday i spent time dumping all my files onto my external hard drive over 45 gigs of pictures and document. Then i deleted them off my laptop in hopes that it would help it perform better.

The today when i needed to access a picture file i plugged in my external hard drive. I looked for the picture but there was no pictures anywhere on my external drive. Double checked my laptop drive and no pictures. All my pictures were gone! I freaked out!

Come to find out the external drive was set to synch every time it was plugged in and 'replace' all folders on the external drive with the folders on my laptop. Bad thing all my folders on the laptop were empty so it replaced all the folders on the external drive with the empty ones.

I was uber close to breaking down and crying... all my pictures, birth pictures, all the girls birthdays or the dedication or our wedding pictures, everything.... gone!

Luckily i calmed down and figured out that i could restore files... that the external kept old files in a dormant location for a certain amount of time before deleting them forever. So i was able to go in and select the files i wanted to restore. Took well over 3000 mouse clicks to select everything (and no i could drag a selection of the files, i had to click every one of them!)

So now i have all my files back. I'm copying them back onto the external. I changed the settings of the external so it will no long automatically copy and replace. Then after all the files are back on the external i will delete them off the laptop again. What a mess!

It's taking forever but at least i have my pictures and files again. So scary!

So i woke up with and saw snow on the ground! I find this so funny because there was a lot of people on facebook saying that Spring was finally here. Hehe, i think Spring is here too but it wanted to make us go 'what the heck?!'

I'm hoping this wont mess up our plans to till and plant grass seed. Bob had thought about spraying the ground with water cause he said if it soaks in it could make the ground easier to till. But i know there is a fine line in that, i know it can't be to wet or your tiller will clog on you! Maybe this slight snow dusting will melt and be the right about of water.... as long as it doesn't keep raining today like it said it might. Haaaaa

I sure hope it works out good because if we can get it done, it's suppose to rain Saturday and Sunday which would be nice for the newly planted grass. So far the temperatures after Friday look like the perfect temps recommended for planting the grass.

So please oh please let us be able to get it in the ground Friday else we would have to wait another week :(

Yes, finally got my new laptop battery and power cord and i have rejoined the cyber world! Oh how i have missed you! LOL

So i'm really excited about weather and what all we are planning on doing. It has seemed like Spring is upon us and i am really glad. Only thing, i fear that means we will have a harsh summer. An up side to that is if it is an extra long summer does that mean my summer plants will be able to grow longer, therefore yield more? I hope so. I mean if i have to deal with an extra long summer it better be giving something back to me, right?

Ok so tonight Hubby bought the grass seed. I made the rental appointment for the tiller for Friday. So lets hope it doesn't rain to much tonight for us to till. I can't wait to get the grass in! So we got a grass blend so the one type said it would germinate in 5-12 days and other 7-21 days. So hopefully we will be having little grass sprouts soon!

I am over the top excited! I sure hope with grass grows!

Since we started this 1 cup diet thing our food has gone a lot farther. I'm liking it. One cup at a meal satisfies us and holds us until out snack time. Plus i love how food lasts! Made hamburger helper the other night and crescent rolls. Normally we would have ate ALLL of it including all 6 rolls. Well now the hamburger helper lasts two meals and the rolls 3 meals. LOL So that is about $.88 a meal! Sweet! Not to mention 1 pound of hamburger turned into small hamburger patties lasted us like 4-5 meals LOL

Sure helps on saving money! Plus i think i have more energy doing it this way.

Less food, more meals :)

My girls have gotten to the age that child seems to so not be working!

Anabel learned how to open the bathroom door. I was always finding her in there getting into my make up and hair pieces. So in hopes of stopping that, we took the handle plate off the outside so you had to reach in and activate the lock switch, and we would have it locked at all times. Well now she has learned how the lock switch works! So i don't know what to do with that now.

Then we have a baby gate up on the one office entrance that does not have a door. Wellllll she learned how to unhook that gate and get it.... she likes to go in there when i am busy in the kitchen. Funny thing is i don't realize it right off because she will put the baby gate back up. I know she has done it because it's not in there tight and it's lopsided. LOL She smart girl!

Ok now Abby.... she is getting really good at climbing. Climbing on the chairs at the table... plus she will take things from the playroom like the baskets used to organize their toys, flip them over and stand on them to get up high enough to grab things off of the table (Anabel showed her how to do it and it stuck!)

I don't know what to do with my girls! Haaaaa!
