31 Weeks

Thursday, January 31, 2013

I tried to find a good picture of a baby 31 weeks in the belly that wasn't someones personal sonogram, and i couldn't. Just a lot of sonograms and babies born at this age.

I had my midwife appointment on Tuesday. I haven't gained anymore weight since last check up and i asked her if that was ok. She said 'You have gain 20lbs so far there is no need worry, you are doing just fine! Just as long as you are growing' That made me feel good. I told her i felt like i was growing that's for sure!

When she checked my blood pressure she said 'Well you will never have to worry about high blood pressure' and chuckled just because i always run so low. I got a giggle out of that.

The on to listening to the heart beat. He kept kicking the doppler and she had a hard time getting the heart beat. She gently had to push him over to the side to get him to stop kicking and for her to get the heart beat clearly. Active guy!

Then the measuring. She was like 'Wow yeah you have grown!' She had to push up around my ribs and kept going higher and higher. She said 'Wow ok, you are a 32-33' I asked her what week i should be that day according to her records, she said 30 and 3-4 days. So that means i was measuring up to 2-2.5 weeks bigger then how far along we are. o.0 She said 'Looks like this baby will be a lot bigger then what you normally have' LOL Cause she knows both Anable and Abby was 6.9lbs. So looks like Matthew will be a big boy!

Oh something i almost forgot is she said he was head down and would probably stay that way until he comes. So that is very good!

So no wonder i have been so uncomfortable! No wonder he has been causing me so much pain!

Nursery Sneak Peak

I owe so much thanks to my sister Jessica for coming down and spending time and energy helping me get SOOO much done! She helped me do all my shopping for the nursery. Went to my midwife appointment with me and helped with the girls there. She helped me paint the nursery. She helped me sort, fold, drawer and hang most of the baby cloths not to mention help with the girls, do dishes and so so many other things! She was amazing!

Thanks to Jessica i am sitting so good with everything on my list! I'm so excited! Now there is mostly just some things i'm sewing for the room and a few crafts.

I'm tickled pink i actually have a nursery this time around and it's a designed room too!

So today i sewed 3/4 of the crib bumper, it's looking awesome! It's a green corduroy. So cute!

And i just got done sewing the changing pad cover tonight. So now the changing table is all finished! Here it is with the new paint job to match the dresser:

This is my changing pad cover i just made. A cute green with white poka dots.

The dresser it matches.

We painted the walls a greyish tan / a tanish grey lol. I love the color!

House Work

So lately i have been working on the main areas of the house since i got everything pulled out and reorganized in the storage room and everything all nice in there. Got the girls stuff organized and the baby stuff organized for the most part (more will be done once the room is finished and i can put things away)

So yesterday and today i got:

Downstairs bathroom
Downstairs hall
Living room
Dinning room
Kitchen
Upstairs bathroom
Upstairs hall

.... all cleaned!

Now all i have to do (above my normal days cleaning) is make the guest bed up, figure out the table cloth for the dinning room and pick up a few odds and ends.... oh yeah and keep it cleaned LOL

On top of that i got my shopping lists all made up and ready to print. One for shopping with Jess for nursery and girls room things and then another for grocery shopping. That involved printing off a bunch a coupons, cutting and organizing them. The finding the deals i wanted online, writing a list, and separating my coupons.

Bob has been working on the bi-fold doors. He ran into a bit of an issue which caused him to have to buy some more wood and do some more work and painting.... just when we thought everything was ready to get hung up. Oh well.... those things happen sometimes. Good thing it looks like he has everything figured out and knows what needs to be done.

All in all a very productive day even though i haven't been feeling very good and having a ton of braxton hicks and with Bob's set backs. I feel good with the progress we have made. I feel bad for Bob though because without those set backs he would have had the doors up and been done by now instead of working still :( He is being a trooper about it though. Love that man!

I'm looking forward to a relaxing day tomorrow and then having my sis down on Monday! Woot woot!

Ugh these contractions are darn uncomfortable! A lot of them tonight. Little reminders of the terrible pain to come in a couple months LOL Hoping they are helping my body out. I think i'm going to start using them to practice relaxing! It especially sucks when he decides he wants to move while they are going on... little bugger!

Love

I'm so tired of seeing the countless facebook status from Christians about whether you should 'love' or if you should 'rebuke' the sinner. Like in most things i see some people just go to the extreme to try and prove a point without actually listening to the other side rationally.
The fact is God is love, so if we want to show God in our lives then we must show love to everyone. Does God talk about rebuking sin? Sure but where does it say you can not do it love?
I feel those on facebook talking about 'love' are more right. The bible says the greatest commandment is to love God and then to love your neighbor as yourself. Seems pretty self explanatory to me! I guess i am i simple thinker.
Saying that i don't believe you are suppose to act like sin it ok. Do you accept the sin and act like it is not bad? No, and i think that happens to much. But if you go around rebuking without first showing that person God's love, then i don't believe the rebuke is going to do anything but push that person further away.

Haa do everything in love.... simple.

30 Weeks

30 weeks pregnant.

They say baby should be getting close to 17in and 4lbs but knowing me, the baby is probably a bit smaller since my babies are usually string beans at birth. This go around Matthew might be bigger, we will just have to wait and see :)

I've had a couple bad nights of sleeping, just not being able to stay asleep and laying there awake thinking. But those are more on the rare side.

Next Tuesday is my midwife appointment, crazy. I know things seem to be going quickly for me but i'm wondering if that will end here in a while and it will feel like the baby will never get here. Probably especially after we have the girls in their room and the nursery set up.... you know once everything is set up and ready to go, i will probably feel like 'ok why aren't here yet? everything is ready!'. Lol probably will be the case!

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

So i officially don't need anymore boy cloths in less it's like 9mo-12mo and bigger LOL I think i am pretty set on everything else. We will see went he changes sizes and see what all i really do need but i seem to have a lot!

Some things i need to stock up on is like lotion, powder, rash ointment and shampoo... things like that.
I've got the newborn cloth diapers and some disposable. I want to mainly do cloth (if they hold in the stuff cause i don't want everything stained again), but i probably will mix in some disposable too when going out.

Other then that i think i am all set on baby stuff! I thought i was going to need receiving blankets but after going through my stuff i have quite a few of blue and neutral receiving blankets so i'm super excited about that. And i have plenty of blankets that will work for a boy... i had way to many girl blankets LOL Looks like i might for the boy too. I thought i needed baby socks but at least for the early sizes i think i have plenty.

I found a pattern to make my own crib sheets so i'm totally going to try and do that! And i have gotten the crib bumper to recover too so need to make a trip to a fabric store for several things.

Haaa i'm so itching to get the nursery set up and all his little cloths and things put where they are going to go and to start working on sewing the stuff i'm making for him.

Going And Going!

Thursday, January 17, 2013

Today has been good, very busy but good. I've gotten so much done. I keep surprising myself and am so proud of myself too LOL

  • Today I've done so much laundry! 4-5+ loads. I've gotten it down to the blankets and sheets and stuff. I also got it folded and brought up stairs too.
  • I've done a couple loads of dishes and cleaned up the kitchen quite a bit.
  • I've taken the Christmas tree and several other of the other Christmas decorations
  • I've cleaned the bathroom
  • Swept the living room, dinning room and kitchen
  • Vacuumed
  • I've taken some cloths I've gathered that needs soaked and stain treated and got them in a soaking bath. Hopefully that will get the stains out, if not that will get thrown away!
It's just felt like I've been going and going. This morning before lunch i took a little nap, i think that really helped me. Then this afternoon we had a play date so a friend and her girl came over and played for awhile.

Bobby worked all day today. Have yet to see him but he said he thought he would be done about 9pm so hopefully he will be coming home soon!

I don't know where i have gotten this energy and will to just keep going... be cause several weeks ago it was so hard to do anything! Not sure... but i'm glad I've got it at the moment because my house was in dire need! I'm just worried i will crash and still have all these things that need carried back upstairs to the storage room. I haven't lugged them up because they are to heavy for me and i needs Bob's help, which he has been to busy. Soon thought i think we will get them up.

Oh on a side note i was able to pull my hair back into a pony tail tonight o.0 it's getting to long! Nice to get it up off of my neck though. I know Bob wants it grown out, but i'm not to sure, i think i look better with short hair. We will see!

Today....

  • I space bagged all my 2T summer cloths, 3T summer cloths and 4T+ cloths into separate bags and labeled them. They were able to fit into one plastic tote along with bigger sized shoes instead of being in two totes and a box.
  • I space bagged all my fancy dress, skirts and shirts in one bag.
  • Space bagged all of Bob's old football uniforms and football shirts in one bag.
  • Cleaned and organized the changing table and got it ready to be carried up stairs.
  • Only got two loads of laundry done :( But went ahead and organized the dirty cloths that are left into loads to make things quicker tomorrow.
  • Made several trips carrying things up stairs that will end up going into the storage room.
Tonight was trash night so i helped Bob carry out the tons of trash i have accumulated over these few days. Counted 14 boxes i emptied and like 4 huge bags of garbage. Not sure i was able to empty so much and get rid of so much but boy am i uber happy! Now it's out of my house and things look a little lighter. Now if i can get Bob to help me carry up more stuff up stairs that needs to go into the storage room or into the nursery out of my hall, then things might really start looking better! But Bob will be really busy with after school work these next few days so don't know if that will happen and i don't think i should risk carrying it all up myself because some of the stuff is really heavy (for me anyways).

Glad with what i got done!

I Cannot Wait For Another One!

Can't believe i am going to have another one of these gorgeous babies! I want to hold my baby Matthew!

 (Anabel the day she was born)

 (Anabel the day she was born)

 (Anabel)

 (Abby the day she was born)

 (Abby about 3 days old)

  (Abby about 10 days old)

I wonder what my Matthew will look like!

I've been thinking the last few days how i still see Abby as a baby in her expression... how similar they stay as they grow. Those little looks the baby Abby would give when she was tired, she still looks that way to me. Same with Anabel :) Love it, they are still my babies. But then sometimes i'm like OMGosh they are so big! Especially Anabel lol

I just can't wait to watch my Matthew grow up too!

29 Weeks Along

The 29th Week

According to the midwife i will be 32 weeks in two weeks so i could be 30 weeks today but until i'm for sure i'm sticking with my original date.

The sites say baby could be about 3lbs and 15-17 inches long :) He feels fairly big, he's always pushing and causing discomfort.... lots of it! And he still has to double to triple in weight >_< meaning the discomfort is only beginning.

At 28 weeks i started the kick counting that the midwife wanted me to start. Trying to remember to do that!

Funny how i read that at this point in pregnancy it's really important to drink milk. It's funny cause i have been wanting milk a lot more lately and have been drinking it. Guess my body knew what i needed for the baby :)

One of the sites also said i should take a bath and do a full pampering thing with bubbles, face mask and a book. Sounds nice, only i'm thinking of my last bath where i almost passed out and spend 95% of the time sitting on the hard edge of the tub because i thought i was going to loose it LOL It wasn't so fun.... but i guess i could give it another shot!

Funny last night and in the middle of the night i was thinking about sleep and our bed. Again adoring our bed. While yes i don't sleep like i use to, i wake up a lot and have to run to the bathroom, it's not from being uncomfortable like most woman complain of in pregnancy. It's the normal weird dreams that wake me (and let me say they are terrible!)... and also baby is INCREDIBLY active at night and wakes me up. As far as comfort, i'm pretty gosh darn comfortable. I'm so lucky!

The other day when i was looking through things i found my laboring dress, wonder if i still can fit into it. Glad i found it, still might want to get another though if i find a good one.

Cleaning Continues!

Sunday, January 13, 2013

So last night i finished up going through those 3 bags full of stuffed animals and and got it down to one bag that we are keeping and the rest i will attempt to sell on facebook before donating them somewhere. Also took that pile of clothing i had set aside to sell and took pictures of them and posted them on facebook last night. Already sold some of it today too! (woot woot!)

Today I:

  • Went through about 5 more boxes i pulled out of the storage room, found some more things i want to sell and then took the left over clothing that i still want to keep but need stored and put it in a Space Saver bag.
  • I took all of the baby furniture out of the storage room and got it stored in what will become the nursery closet. That way it's out of the storage room and i can refill the storage room and also it's out of the way of the girls when they go down to sleep and also out of the way so we still can paint in the soon to be nursery.
It wasn't near as much as yesterday but all of that was like in an hours time, so i didn't have much time to do much. I'm happy with what got done. I'm afraid i will get all of this done really fast and then be antsy until we get the room switched and i can start in on more.... although i'm sure if i really want things to do there is always stuff around the house that needs done and/or better arranged.

OMGosh, So Much Done! YAY!

Saturday, January 12, 2013

Omgosh, I've done so much today but my house looks in worse shape then when i started lol. Lets see.... what have i done?

  • Bob got the second clothes rod hung in the new girls closet.
  • I brought down all of the girls cloth from the up stairs closet to the new downstairs
  • Totally organized the girls cloths and shoes and filled the new closet.
  • Pulled out all the toys from the storage room, sorted out what the girls would still play with, what could be saved for Matthew and what could be thrown away and what could be sold.
  • Organized the girls toys and put them away in containers and put away in the closet shelves.
Use the plastic bags that sheets come in and empty wipe containers to organize the toys.
Still need to label the wipe containers.
Funny how once it's all gone through and organized neatly that it doesn't look like near as many toys LOL
  • Put all the toys that could be used for Matthew into a tote.
  • Pulled out all the boxes of scrap fabric/repurpose cloths out of the storage, went through them all, figured out what i would keep, what i would sell and what i would throw away. Also pulled out some baby girl cloths boxes i found and went through and threw away all the stained ones and separated the others that could be sold.
  • Pulled out all of Matthews things i have been piling in totes and went through everything. Put cloths according to size in separate clear plastic bags/totes

Doing all the organizing of Matthew's cloths will help once we get the nursery empty and get it painted and ready to decorate/fill.
Now i need to finish going through the storage room, make sure i haven't missed anything. I also need to pull out any clothing that can be Space Bagged and get the rest of the baby furniture pulled out for Matthew, then refill the storage room neatly. That will include carrying up all the things i pulled out and sorted back up stairs.  A lot to do but i think today i might have gotten about half of the total job done.
I still have three garbage bag fulls of stuffed animals i need to go through and see what will be kept, thrown or sold... might do that while i sit and rest (for the most part) tonight with Hubs.

Bob has been working all day on making homemade bi-fold doors for the girls closet. We priced store bought bi-folds and the one smaller door was going to be about $80 not to mention we need one for the other closet and it's much bigger. So instead we went and bought supplies for the second cloths rod in their closet, all the stuff needed for the extra extra long curtain rods for the six windows in the room and stuff for the two bi-fold doors for about $130, so a MAJOR money saver doing it ourselves! So wonderful to have a Hubby that can do all this! This is his first attempt at making a door but so far it looks like it's coming together great! I can't wait till be gets enough done that i can take some pictures!

Head Down?

Thursday, January 10, 2013

I don't know if position has changed or what but the last few days have been different. Maybe acid reflex? I don't know i threw up in my mouth a little this morning when my tummy didn't want me to eat. Every time i eat these last few days i can't put much in there without feeling icky and start burping and... just not good!

Also he seems to start getting active when i eat which makes things difficult. I think he must be head down at the moment because he is kicking way up high and causing some quite discomfort and dull achy pains down in my pelvic area and butt so i yeah... think head down right now. Dull and achy is how i have felt and stomach not liking this position lol

More Working In The Craft Room

Three more bolts of fabric rolled onto bolts, love it! Love getting my material rolled onto bolts and not just piled around! I also put all my old cloths to one day be 'refashioned' and scrap fabric in a space saver bag and in another bag i put all my cushion stuffing, condensed it into a much smaller space. And while doing that i broke my nail way below the skin... talk about pain! I guess i shouldn't have my nails so long! >_<

I'm not feeling so good today, stomach is upset but there is still so much i want to do and need to do.

I also found some pants and shorts that were in with my refashioning clothes that i think i will try to sell on facebook swap to get a few bucks instead of keeping them in hopes of doing a project that i might never get to. Just need a camera (i left mine at the in-laws over the holidays) so i can get them posted!

Third Trimester!

Wednesday, January 9, 2013

Oh baby! 28 weeks today!
14-16 inches long, 2-3lb already o.0 Crazy! The sites say the baby will start getting into birthing position and stay there. Don't sure if mine will, i know with the other two they were flipping around weeks before birth, so who knows. Lately all the kicks seem to be up high and to the right, but just a week ago he was kicking my butt so i'm not taking anything for granted, though i am hoping and praying for head down!
Can't believe third trimester is already here >_< Crazy! Can't wait to meet my new little one :) #heart

Got My Shipment and Nesting? Already? I Don't Know...

I feel really silly but i'm so uber excited about the nursing bras i got off of ebay from China! I got them yesterday and they are so cute and a new design for a nursing bra that i hadn't seen before. Plus they fit! LOL I love em. So now i have the bras and the cloth nursing pads (also from a company in China) that seem great and the price was amazing too. I know a lot of people don't like getting things from China but since i adore Asian things it always excites me to be buying something straight from a store in China, with like no English on the package anywhere... for me it's different then buying things here in the states that are made from China... i know, same thing right? I'm weird! But i've never seen this type of nursing bra sold in the US plus i never would have been able to buy it new for $7 here either. So over all i'm very happy!

Also some people are questioning if i'm in the 'nesting' stage. I'm kinda hoping i'm not cause it's kinda far away from the baby coming which means all i do now will most likely get messed up again before the baby comes. On the other hand we have so much to do before the baby comes with the girls room and the nursery that maybe it's good i'm getting the huge urge and push to get everything done.... cause it's going to take some time!

I started in on my office/craft room. It was a terror! And now i walked into it this morning and got that feeling when you are packing things up and rooms are feeling empty and it just feels weird LOL That is because i can see most of my floor and my desk is almost cleared up... things are getting arranged and looking much better. I was able to snag a few empty cardboard bolts from the fabric section at Wal-Mart that they were going to throw away so that made me UBER excited so now i can roll up some more material and get it out of the boxes. Little things like that make me so tickled!

I also have started into the new girls room closet. See that room use to just be the play room and when we went to go redo it most of the toys got thrown in the closet so we could paint and redo the room. So i'm going threw all the toys and stuff, sorting out toys that need thrown away, things that are to young for them but still could be stored for the future Matthew and things that can be sold. So that is fun.... and will also lead me up stairs into the storage room to go threw all the stuff that has been put up in there too. Things like the highchairs which the girls don't use anymore but i want keep need to go up stairs in the storage until new baby is big enough.
I also have been trying to work a little bit at a time on painting the shingles because Bob told me i have to finish that before the girls are allowed to move into the room. Thing is, i'm super slow at it. If Bob could get up there he could have it finished like in a day or two instead of me... i probably will be working on it for a couple weeks lol. BUT Bob already has a ton of bigger stuff on his list that needs to be done.

My brain has been going like crazy... i can't stop thinking about everything that needs to be done and my list keep getting bigger (like getting all the Christmas stuff down and put away!) I think about things when i wake up in the middle of the night, i think about it on every commercial when i watching TV and i think about it all the time in between. It's kinda driving me nuts. Good thing about it is it's getting me up off my butt and getting things done.

27 Weeks ~ And My Day

Sunday, January 6, 2013

Today Anabel asked how big baby Matthew was now and i realized i forgot to look up this weeks pregnancy details. So i called her over and we looked up some stuff.

It's hard to imagine my little bun is 14-15+ inches long and suppose to be over 2lb now! So big! They also say the average woman has gained 16-22lb by now above their normal weight, i think i'm at 23+ lol.

Time is flying!

But man i've been having some crazy bad dreams lately. Not good ones at all! Sucks! I hate waking up after a bad dream, just feels creepy. I have to pray and ask God to take the bad thoughts and replace them because i just can't usually get back to sleep. UGH

~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had a great time at church today and then went out an ate with some friends from church. Got home and was able to put the kiddos down to nap right away. I worked on cutting out coupons. In between i started working on laundry. Decided to take the piles of clean cloths down in the laundry room and slowly start bringing them up and get them folded and put away. I ended up bringing up and folding 7 cloths baskets full of laundry. My arms hurt so bad! Half of them i let Bob lug up stairs. Gosh i'm so tired! My left arm is killing me and i know it's going to hurt for a few days, it's my weak/hardly used arm. LOL I took some pain pills so hopefully it will be easier to sleep. So glad i was able to get that done though! Got almost all of Bobby's cloths put up in our room.
Yesterday i did several loads of dishes to get caught up but not doing any today kinda put me back again. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day at getting caught up on other stuff since i did so much on the laundry today. Speaking of laundry i finished up all my laundry soap today doing 4 loads so tomorrow i should make some more.
Tomorrow is our YMCA day. Anabel has gymnastics in the evening and we plan on going and working out some during that time. I haven't been able to get to the Y to work out in some time. I did it once and every time after that i had to sit and watch the girls in their classes. Hopefully this time i will get some time to walk on the tread mill or a little bit, not like i can do much.
So should be 3 hats
And i think 4 things of yarn? But you should have enough to buy more if needed.
Outfits and colors.
I thought pictures might be helpful.
I tried to pick outfits that had similar colors to other outfits so i could mix and match the hats with a lot more outfits then shown. Hope i did a good job. Our wal-mart did not have a good selection and there was several empty slots… so that was annoying! But i think i got good colors.
Pattern picture
Will buy it and send it to you!
I was thinking the lighter grey as the main color and the grey/black as band color.
Colors:
(Light grey) “Grey Heather” – Brand: Red Heart
(Blackish) “Charcoal Hearther 9508” – Brand: Caron Simply Soft
Pattern picture
Link to pattern HERE
Was thinking the light blue would be the main color and the grey/black would be the band on it. The light blue is a thicker yarn then the blackish so i didn’t know if you thought they would look ok together? It’s just that it was the perfect blue and they didn’t have anything similar in a different type of yarn. If your wal-mart has a better selection and you found pretty much the same color in a better yarn that would be fine too.
I didn’t think about buttons…. as far as buttons i was thinking maybe black?
Colors:
(Blackish) “Charcoal Hearther 9508” – Brand: Caron Simply Soft
----- same color as above
(Blue) “Sea Sprite” Color #146 – Brand: Brand Baby’s First
Pattern picture
Link to pattern HERE
Now with this one i wasn’t sure. A lot of my outfits have almost the same color of brown on them so i thought one hat could be used on multiple outfits.
I couldn’t find the exactly brown but the darkest one pictured here was the closest.
Probably just nix the light tan there… i think i changed my mind on that color.
Colors:
(Med. Brown) “Cafe Latte” – Brand: Red Heart
il_570xN.337962740
I bought this pattern and will send it to you too. If you don’t want to make them they say they are uber easy so i might be able to make them if there is any yarn left over.
Also you are the pro so if you don’t like the yarn i picked out (I really wanted something softer then most of the ones i found but oh well) then maybe you could take the colors i picked out and use them to find similar colors in better yarn? Whatever you want to do.
