I am blessed

Friday, April 30, 2010

I am blessed to have such a great daughter. She is truly wonderful. She brightens my day and makes things so much better. I love her silly faces and her spunky personality even if it seems to get her in trouble sometimes. She is so smart and loving. I love her to death :)

She is really a good girl, she is so good at playing and entertaining herself, it really is cute to watch her. She has been in the cloths basket (yes again) and playing with the toys she brought with her for over a half an hour, with no complaint or fussing... just enjoying herself. I like to watch her. She has her two stuffed animals in her lap, just playing and playing.

Anabel is truly a gift from God. I couldn't be more happy to be her mother.

Sleep Yes!

I actually got some sleep last night, it was amazing! Anabel who has been waking me up 2-4 times a night and drinking two bottles, let me sleep all night with no interruptions! It was fantastic! Then when she did wake up at 6:30ish i brought her into bed with me, since Bob was already up getting ready for school. She drank a bottle and then slept next to me on Bob's pillow until almost 9am. I couldn't believe it, lol. Thank you God for letting me have some sleep! I needed it badly. Now i'm hoping to get this house done better.

Getting comfy

Thursday, April 29, 2010

A cute picture from the other day. I was doing some sewing and looked over to find that she had brought a pillow and blanket from the other room, set herself up, laid down and was watching 'Lost' with my while i sewed. Cutest thing. She was sleepy, you can see it in her eyes in this pic, hehe

29 weeks

Your Baby This Week Between weeks 26 and 27, your baby begins to experience REM sleep and he can dream! Your baby now weighs close to 3 pounds (1.3 kg) and is approaching 17 inches (43 cm) from head to toe

His eyes are becoming more sensitive and might be able to notice when you are sitting in the sun or reading by a bright light. As baby grows, conditions in the uterus become a little cramped, so there isn't quite as much room to kick those tiny legs or wave those teeny arms. Therefore, you may feel a little less movement now, but that's normal.

Your Body This Week Your tummy is continuing to grow and you're steadily gaining weight. As you edge closer to delivery day. If you find yourself dreaming about that perfect little baby, you're not alone. Baby dreams, too--about you, the perfect mom!

Anabel just fell asleep playing in the cloths basket! It's uber cute! I wish i could take a picture but Bob took the camera with him today, bummer. This is the kinda moment you want to capture. Oh well.

Lots of Movement

Monday, April 26, 2010

Baby is moving a ton. I don't know if it cause i ate dinner not to long ago or if it's the glass of caffeine free pepsi i just had o.0 hmm. I indulge myself over dinner. I make myself only have water through out the day but dinner i get a treat. Usually it is just sweet decaf tea but Bob bought me some decaf pepsi for when we had Jess over for her birthday, so i still got some of that left.

Tonight we used some of the left over fried chicken and made chicken sandwiches for dinner. It was good, but now i'm way to stuffed!

He he, baby is really going at it. My belly is wabling. I love it!

Anabel is being really clingy. I wonder if it's because of her canines coming in. Poor girl. She wants me to hold her but then she complains. So we do an 'up-down-up-down' thing, all day long.

This upcoming week is going to be crazy. Tomorrow is young couples, then Saturday we might go up to Topeka to see Heidi and Aaroon. Then the usual Sunday, that Tuesday is another young couples, then Saturday is an all day event for Bob's graduation. That Sunday we are taking the youth to Kansas City for a bowling outing... it'll feel like go-go-go. Pray for me! That i have the stamina for all this.

I've been really out of energy lately. I try to keep the house in fair order... but if i am honest i don't worry about the house until the evening, then i clean up before Daddy comes home. At least that is how it's been lately. I was so proud of myself for keeping the house so nice... but lately, nopers.

If i think about it... i have so much to do to get ready for the new baby. I hope i'll get that burst of energy like they say, cause at this point, i'll need it. I'm looking forward to getting ready for the baby. I've also got a crap load of a list of this i would like to make for the house and baby room before it gets here... because i know after the baby gets here, that stuff will not be happening at all.

I'm hoping to get Mom Risch's sewing machine so i can craft some stuff here soon. I feel so inspired and it's kinda annoying when you feel to drained. I need to get my 'wish to do list' all together so maybe i can shop for the stuff and actually get it done.

Haaaaa.....
;)

Dog Tired

Last night Anabel decided to skip dinner, instead she fell asleep and would not wake up for anything. I ended up just putting her to bed, knowing that that night was probably going to be rough. And indeed it was. She woke up like 5 to 6 time. Two of those times i wasn't in bed yet, but the others killed my body, i do believe.

In the morning when the alarm went off i asked Bob to please be extra quite this morning getting ready for work because Anabel woke me up a lot. Two seconds after asking that i heard Anabel whining for me >_<>

I was glad that she got to see Daddy before he went to work, but i also wanted cry, cause i'm soooo tired! It's hard for me to keep my eyes open but there is no use in trying to lay down, because as soon as i do Anabel will be messing with my every few seconds... and that would probably just make matters worse.... so awake i am.

Hopefully she will let me have a relaxed day of chilling. Like the other day when we cuddled up on the bed and watched Lost for a few hours until she fell asleep (and me too) OH i hope we can do that again today!

Pray for me ya'll, that i won't be in a crabby mood today!

Game Night

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Game night at our friends house was a lot of fun, although baby decided to cause me a lot of pain >_< Moving so much my belly would get all pointed, felt like he was trying to rip through my belly button, or my side and ribs, everywhere. He must have been turning or something, i don't know but it didn't feel good in the least! I got my first rib kicks and pushes last night, a sign of what is to come. He definitely didn't want to be forgotten last night. Funny that he starts doing new stuff on the eve of my third trimester.

Anyways it was a lot of fun, great food, and a fun game. Girls were winning in pictionary for a while till we got stuck. Then the boys came and won the game. Didn't get home till almost midnight.

I'm proud of my little Anabel though. Her bedtime is 9pm you know, well it was getting around 9:30pm or a little later and she was wanting to cuddle up on me or Daddy to go to sleep, but was getting distracted with all the loudness of the game. I had thought about trying to lay her down but thought since it was someone else's house that she might get scared. Instead Bob wanted to try it so we took her into their bedroom which had a pack-n-play in it and gave her goodnight kisses and laied her down. She didn't fuss one bit and just curled up to sleep. I was amazed and so proud of her. She is to good.

But right now I need to change her poopy diaper and go get ourselves some breakfast. :)

Week 28: Welcome to the Third Trimester!

Your Baby This Week:
It's official! You're in the last trimester of your pregnancy and you're edging closer to the big day with each passing week. Your baby is growing--and wow--so are you!

Your little angel is still little, between 2 and 2.5 pounds (0.9 to 1.1 kg) and 15 to 16 inches (38 to 40 cm) long. Your baby is actually a little "chubbier" than before. That's because the number of fat cells she has is increasing, filling out the skin from underneath. Eyebrows and eyelashes are also growing, and the hair on her head is getting longer. This is also an important time for your baby's brain development.

Your Body This Week:
Your weight is climbing, too! During this month, you may begin to experience Braxton Hicks contractions--a kind of "dress rehearsal" for labor that isn't dangerous for you or baby. They occur when the uterus hardens and relaxes. Because your growing baby is putting more pressure on your pelvis, your ankles and feet may swell, your legs may cramp, and as your growing uterus bears down on your bladder, you may once again feel the need to urinate more often. And don't be alarmed if you start to feel out of breath; it's just baby pushing on your diaphragm.

Today we went to storytime at the library and Anabel had a blast. She ran around the room in circle waving her arms and dancing. When it came time to sit down and listen to the stories she was very still and listened and watched carefully. It was so cute. At some points she got on her hands and knees to get closer to the book. She loved it and loved seeing the other little kids.

We came home and both of us took a nap together. She has been in a very good mood today for the most part, just giving me silly faces and smiles out of the blue. Right now she is frustrated with the empty cloths basket she is playing with... it's not doing what she wants it too... silliness

Blahness

Status: 'Exhausted'

I got quite abit if sleep but it wasn't very peaceful. Had a dream that i was in a car crash, off a bridge, smacked into a tree and drowned in the water. I remember in the dream wondering if this was a dream or was i really about to die and meet my Lord, as the water filled my lungs and everything went dark. Then i woke up with a gasp and had to wake Bob up for him to hold me. Not fun! I was worried to go back to sleep, afraid of more dreams, so i prayed over them.

Anabel: 'Just fell asleep in my arms'

Since Anabel's party it's like all the energy has been drained from me. I have stuff that needs done but i don't have the 'want to' to get up and do anything. I feel like i could sit and stare at a wall for a few hours and be content. I don't like it.

I'm waiting to talk to Bob online, otherwise i would lay down right now and try and sleep to maybe feel better... goodness

Anabel’s Party

Sunday, April 18, 2010

The party turned out great. I had so much fun and i think Anabel did too. She really enjoyed playing with her cousins Hannah and Elijah. They were great play mates.

We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and also had: a beautiful edible fruit basket (made by Aunt Jessica), avocado salad, and potato & broccoli salad. It actually worked out that not as many people came as i invited because we ate most of the food, lol Anabel was a pig! I haven’t seen her eat so much in a long time, heh.

She got a lot of really cute things! Let’s see if i can remember all of them:

  • A beautiful hand made dress from Grandma Brown (which she wore for the party)
  • Shoes
  • Maracas
  • A crib
  • The movie ‘Oliver and Company’
  • Some cute clothing and night wear
  • A ladybug kids lantern
  • Some books
  • Some stuffed animals
  • Wooden blocks
  • A rattle monkey
  • A swim suit, baby’s first pool and sun block (from mommy and daddy)
  • A couple balls

I hope i mentioned everything, if not please forgive me! Thank you everyone for everything, she is really enjoying playing with all her new toys!

I made some cute cupcakes (at least i thought so) I had wanted to more detail on them, but i ran out of time. They were German chocolate cake cupcakes, some with the regular coconut pecan frosting (for the adults) and some with pink, some with yellow, cream cheese frosting.

Daddy and Grandpa set up her new crib and that is what she slept in that night. She didn’t really seem to tell a difference between it and her pack-n-play which is actually a good thing. Everyone thought she might be scared of it (not so far but we shall see).

Overall it was a great time! Thanks everyone!

Baby sure has gotten to the stage were it's alot more active. Still not a crazy spazz kicker like Anabel but he's definitely picked up alot. Today it felt like he was walking across my belly, a very weird feeling. And you can see my belly jump around now when he moves. It's funny.

I always enjoyed this part... cept the kicking of my butt and leg connection areas... doesn't feel so good. Anabel seemed obsessed with kicking were my right leg connected (or at least that is what it felt like she was kicking) Or the pushing really hard on my ribs... that's never fun. But the regular kicking and moving... i seem to really like that.

Your Baby This Week

It's official--you and your baby are starting your third trimester and are well on your way to delivery day!

As growth continues, your baby weighs in at over 2 pounds (1 kg). And because his body is more developed, measurement no longer goes from rump to crown, but from head to toe--about 15 inches (38cm)! Your baby can suck his thumb now, which is actually a good thing! It helps calm him, while also helping to strengthen jaw muscles and encourage the suckling reflex. Your baby can even cry now, but you won't be able to hear him.

Your baby's eyelids are starting to open, and he can actually open and close his eyes while in the womb.

I read this quote and really liked it:

"Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body"

I think Anabel is getting some more teeth and they are causing her problems. She has had major problems with a burnt bottom. I've been keeping her good and coated with cream. Her head has been hot and she naws on her fingers, shoving them far to each side. I feel really bad for her. She has been whining and fussing a ton!

She's been doing a new face. I figured out today that she probably does it cause i make the same face to her all the time (me the girl of many goofy looks) She drops her mouth open wide, like 'woah!'. It's really cute to see her do it... when i do it i probably look stupid, but it's quite cute on her.

She also has been sticking her tongue out today and even tried to lick me, which is a first, LOL

Tomorrow is 'Books and Babies' at 11am. Hopefully i remember this time and i get Anabel there. She loves books and me reading to her :)

Your Baby This Week
Your baby is getting chubby. She weighs about 32 ounces (1 kg) and measures more than 9 inches (23 cm) in length. You're continuing to grow, too, which is a sign that you're both healthy!
Complaints: Hurting Hips
Yeah to name just one! I don't sleep on the bed anymore because of my loose joints. Hips hurt the worst but my sholders get pretty bad at night too if i sleep on the bed. Bob insists on sleeping on the floor next to me at night. He's so sweet :D I wonder how long he will do that though lol
I still have the continous problem of trying to drink enough water through out the day. I never feel like i get enough even though i try my hardest. It seems like i would have it down by now seeing how much i seems to worry about, gosh!

Anabel is such a complete angle that i wonder how my luck will be this time. I can't surely have to wonderfully mannered babies can i? Wouldn't that be to good to be true? So i'm trying to expect this baby to be harder even though most say that the second tends to be more mild mannered. This baby sure is more mild mannered in the womb, but we will see what that means once it's out here i guess.
